I think you're automatically accepted into the nursing program after the prep semester, so long that you maintain a min 74% average... I applied to humber's second entry nursing program late and I haven't heard anything from them yet. I am getting worried, is anyone else in the same boat?? I didn't have my grade 12 chem, but I took anatomy and physiology in my first undergrad, I hope that is enough.
I think you have you request to transfer them with this form http://www.humber.ca/sites/www.humber.ca/files/UNB-humber-transfer-credit-application-form.pdf. Have you tried that yet?
Secondshot,
I graduated from Humber 2nd entry program, so I can say that yes, you are accepted automatically into BN program in January if you pass prep semester. That being said, prep semester is somewhat intense, depending on the number of courses you have to take. I remember a couple of people didnt make it, but overall everybody did pretty well.
All the best!
Hello,
I've been admitted into the Second Entry Preparatory Semeter (at Humber) :) I'd really like to know how the class schedule is, how many hours/day I should expect to have. I'll be working part-time work during this period and I'm really concerned if I'll be able to manage both. I'm planning to take all the five courses.
Thank you in advance!
Hello all,
I've also been accepted for September 2011, where I am taking all 5 preparatory courses. I was just wondering about the steps that are required for clinicals. I heard we should start early before January. I already enrolled in the ASIST and CPR course but I am not sure what to do about the police background check and vaccination form. How do I get those started? I assume I need to go to Humber to get approved for a police check. Any advice would help. Thanks :)

Has anyone else applied or been accepted to the Humber second entry preparatory program for 2011?
I've been accepted and now I have to decide whether or not to go. I don't know a lot about the program, admittedly I was hoping to attend UBC but was not successful. (This surprised me.) Humber's program is longer than I'd been hoping for (3 years). But, it's a great opportunity and there's no time like the present.
Does anyone know - if you maintain the average specified in the preparatory term (74%) are you automatically admitted to the second-entry program that starts in January? Or is admission to that program competitive as well?
