Human Physiology Course Online

Published

Hi all,

This is a really great forum and I've enjoyed browsing it.

I've been looking at different topics as I prepare to apply to nursing school in California, but I need to renew my human physiology course credentials.

Would anyone have any suggestions for this? I've seen a few threads but they're a little older and those courses don't exist anymore. So far, all I see is the UC Berkley course which runs for $1000 or so.

Thank you!

Hello!

Typically, nursing program will require you to have credits on Anatomy and Physiology that are less than 5 years old. Some institutions will offer these as separate classes, others as A&PI and A&PII.

Having said that, I'm pretty sure there would be cheaper options in CA for you. While highly reputable universities are very desirable, employers tend to care more that graduate nurses have gone through nationally accredited schools and have a valid & unencumbered license in their State. So, if you are strapped for cash... search for all of your accredited options before making your decision on which institution to go into.

Use this website to search for accredited schools: Search ACEN Accredited Nursing Programs

Hope this help! Cheers! :)

Check out the post bacc medical science courses provided by the University of New England. These courses are accepted by medical, dental, pharmacy, etc. schools, but are not inexpensive.
