I recommend that you go to Samaritan. I am an HVCC student right now and I will most likely be applying somewhere else. Most of the instructors are indifferent...they do not care if you do well and they aren't helpful. There isn't enough lab time to go around, and they expect more than what is necessary at this point. I have an A average for my tests and quizzes, but my lab skills are suffering, along with atleast 5 other people in my class of 30! The failure and drop out rate at HVCC is rediculous. Hope this helps!

Hi, I am currently looking into HVCC if I cannot get enough financial aid to attend the ABSN programs that I am applying to, and I was just wondering what the CPE's are that everyone seems to dread so much? lol. Thanks!
well im a senior at hvcc and the CPEs arent bad at all, remember they do that to make sure you have learned all the skills they have taught you during ur seconde and third semester, nothing too hard to be honest with you...
if you have more questions about the prgram let me know, the program is very challenging, but its all worth it at the end

I'm also a current applicant for Fall 2010 (just got my TEAS scores this morning) and am actually sitting here wondering why I haven't heard about these CPEs -- does it stand for "clinical proficiency exam," or am I completely off-base?
I do have friends who are graduates and all they've said is that it's a wonderful program but STUDY. Heavy emphasis on study.
I got 73.3% individual score. I don't see any chance for me getting in to nursing at HVCC with these scores

just got the letter saying I'm accepted for Fall 2010 at HVCC.
I also got my letter of acceptence today for Fall 2010(day).
did you come off the wait list or did you get in right away? I just took the TEAS and am getting in straight away for the Fall.
I applied for Nursing first time took my TEAS test and Last Wednesday went to Admissions and they told me I am accepted. I am getting in straight for the Fall too. So excited but ready for hard work.
Oh and Congratulations to you nyemt2005.:)

thanks, I'm pretty pumped for this although from what I've been reading on here it seems like its going to be a tough program. I have a BA already but from the sounds of it this is going to be a lot harder then any of that was.
