HTN Guidelines/Levels Changed

"U.S. Changes Guidelines on Blood Pressure "

I found the above article after a drug rep at the mini storage where I worked mentioned that the guidelines for htn had changed. I just wanted to see if anyone else had heard of it, and what everyone thought about this decision. I have to wonder if there were other factors that prompted these changes to take place.

Thanks for the link to the article. I think that it's a subject that needs more research before drawing any conclusions on it.
