2024 HRSA Nurse Corps Loan Repayment

Published

Hi everyone, just starting this form since I didn't see a thread for this application cycle. First time applicant, Tier 2.

Hello.... Family Nurse Practitioner here. I applied for the rural development loan repayment option. They ran my credit report back in June. I got the email that I am a finalist on 8/12... A lady from the program actually reached out to me and asked for a screen shot of all my student loan balances... I am getting nervous that they have not notified me that I am going to officially "get the award/ loan repayment." It is becoming obsessive with me checking my email and the website to see if my document was signed. LOL Has anyone received the loan repayment before? Any insight?

What does your status say on your application?

"Accepted award, under final review"

Mine says that too! Does that mean we actually got it? Ugh I hate this waiting game

Hi, I received my award letter and countersigned in late August.  Has anyone gotten their first disbursement yet? I can't get on the website this evening, it says it's under maintenance.

How long did it take you to get your counter signature? Also congratulations!

Did your email say that you were a finalist and had to sign to accept the award? Or did they actually tell you that you received the award? Does your application say "accepted award, under final review?"

Sorry, I used countersigned incorrectly last night, I signed the contract in late August. My contract appears to have been countersigned September 12th. I am in the portal now as a "participant" and my award date is September 12, 2024, which they state is the day the award was countersigned.  Just wondering if anyone knows how long it is until the first disbursement.

I just got the welcome email that stated I was a participant and my award date was September 16. When I read the documents it said the disbursement should be approximately 45 days from your contract start date which I'm assuming is the award date.

Hi everyone! I accepted my award on August 22nd and just got my co signature today! My portal changed from finalist to participant and my contract start date is listed as today, 9/19. I don't see a payment disbursement date but the portal states you should contact the NCLRP via the portal "if you have not received your first loan payment at the end of the month following your contract start date month". Good luck to everyone still waiting. Hoping they give out more awards!

My portal still says "Accepted award, under final review.” Does this mean I might not get the award? I still don't have a counter signature

I think you very likely will get the award. It seems it's taking about a month after accepting for people to get their counter signature. Mine took exactly 4 weeks.

Has anyone applied for the Rural Development program for the loan repayment? Or the SUD one?
