Hello,
I was accepted into the fall 2024 day program at Howard CC in Maryland. Can anyone share what their schedule was?

Hey! I've been accepted into fall 2024 and I've also been looking for current or previous nursing students to share their schedule. No luck so far 😅

Congratulations on your acceptance to Howard CC's fall 2024 day program! That's a significant achievement, and I'm thrilled for you as you embark on this exciting journey into nursing.
As you prepare for your program, I wanted to share a suggestion that might help ease your transition and provide valuable insights into the program: consider reaching out to the school to inquire about mentorship opportunities. Some schools offer mentorship programs where they pair incoming students with current students or alumni. These mentors can offer guidance, share their experiences, and provide invaluable advice as you navigate your way through the program.
Having a mentor can be incredibly beneficial, especially in a rigorous and demanding field like nursing. They can offer insights into the program structure, share study tips, and provide support as you adjust to the demands of your coursework and clinicals.
I encourage you to explore this option and see if mentorship is available at Howard CC. Connecting with someone who has already walked the path you're about to embark on can make a world of difference in your journey through nursing school.
Once again, congratulations on your acceptance, and best of luck as you start this new chapter of your academic and professional life!

Hi. I've been accepted for the nursing program starting this fall. So far I know they've released the date and time for lecture which are on Mondays and Wednesdays. As for clinical and lab, the exact dates are still to be determined but the times for each should show up if you check your schedule through student portal.

Yeah, I did see that they give like a timeframe for labs and clinical, but I just wanted like a more precise schedule because I feel like the program starts in two months and I still don't really know much about it. I don't know the faculty, I don't know how labs are set up or how clinical is set up and stuff. I feel like I don't really know what to expect and I haven't really heard anything from anyone.
I understand. I've been waiting to hear something so I can figure out my work schedule. Hopefully we hear something back soon.

Have you done anything from the castle branch requirements yet?
Yes, I've completed them all except flu vaccine and the N95 fitting but I know we have to wait on those ones.

When you ordered the castle branch for the classification did you choose N142? I'm not sure if it's N142 or N142x? Do you know which one is for the traditional nursing program? I was thinking N142x is for accelerated but I didn't want to click the wrong one
Click on N142 for traditional nursing program.

Hi! When you did the drug screen requirement, did your results get posted to castle branch or did you have to call somewhere to get your results?
Yes, your results will be posted on castlebranch. Just make sure to save those results and post them under the Drug Screen Results tab.
