Hello everyone!
I am scheduled to take Nclex this July. I was wondering because I enrolled in Kaplan and My QT, Diagnostics and Sample Exams are only 30ish% to 40ish%. I'm so upset right now. Do you guys think I should postpone my exam?
Thank you.

Are you using any other study material other than Kaplan?
You still have plenty days to study (70 days to be exact from today till July 1st) which I think is more than enough time for additional preparation for the exam. I studied for roughly 2 months and passed on my first try. The most important thing is to focus on studying, unfortunately you will have to give up SOME part of your social life for this time period, but it's worth it at the end!
Do not be upset with your percentages. What's more important is that you review the rationales, know them and write them down!
I am using Kaplan right now. I have le charity too.what material did you use?i wanted to finish all my samples exams and then repeat. have u tried kaplan? does it look like the actual nclex?i actually do not have social life and i stepped down from full time to per diem already. thank you for your reply.
I am using Kaplan and Lecharity but mostly kaplan. I am taking sample exams and then repeat. i dont have social life anymore and focusing on my exams. what material did you use? have you tried kaplan? are the questions type similar to the actual nclex? congratulations and thank you for your reply.
No I did not use Kaplan. I used UWorld, and I thought the questions were very similar to the NCLEX. In fact, I think I had a handful of questions that looked very similar on the NCLEX that was on UWorld (it was like deja vu).
What's also awesome about UWorld is that the program itself looks almost identical to the NCLEX, like the color of the screen and formatting. It helped me with writing the exam comfortably, as if I was doing another UWorld quiz or something.
LaCharity is an excellent source which I also used. I had quite a lot of prioritization and delegation questions on the NCLEX but there is a decent amount of those questions on UWorld - but I recommend using LaCharity first.

Hello Maria128,
what r you using? I would like to know.
Heelo ArceusAlpha,
I hear good things about Uworld. Do you think 3 months is enough to focus on Uworld or Uworld and Kaplan? I stll have a thousand of questions in Kaplan

3 months is plenty. I used it for 30 days only and I felt a bit rushed but I finished the qBank and re-did all my incorrect ones.

As ArceusAlpha said, 70 days is quite the long time, so you can get lots of studying in. Remember, you are not retaking the entire nursing program, but reviewing all that you learned. IMO, don't focus on the percentages--worry more about understanding the material itself. Also, take advantage of Kaplan's trick (I think they called it a question tree) to help you in choosing answers for questions you're not quite sure about.
An overwhelming majority of students pass NCLEX on the first try. It may not feel like that's possible, but as long as you're seriously studying, the odds are in your favor. Plus, you're just going to stress yourself out more if you reschedule and reschedule and reschedule.
As far as my own experiences...I never had a moment when I felt 100% ready. If I had waited until I felt absolutely 100% ready, I'd still be waiting :) I just set my test date 1.5 months out from graduation and studied the best that I could. I had thought about postponing it but I decided to just do it; at the worst, I'd know what the actual exam was like for next time. But I passed on the first try.
I had a classmate schedule hers one week after getting her ATT: her rationale was that she wanted to get it over with while she still remembered everything from school. She passed in 75 questions. Others waited 3-4 months to take their test and passed...ironically, one of the class' A students did this, took a review course, and he still had to answer all 265 questions to pass. So test grades in school--and review courses--don't necessarily predict how well things will go on the actual test.
Best of luck.
