How To Be A Good Appeals Nurse?

Hi Fellow Nurses,

I just started a job as a nurse working on Medicare appeals and grievances. I LOVE this job!! I haven't had a good employment track record. I HAVE TO MAKE THIS WORK. (yes I just started therapy). Can you please give me any pearls of wisdom on how be at this job? How do I tackle learning about Medicare rules and regulations, types of appeals and grievances, etc?
