How did you study for your TEAS?

Published

Hi, I'm taking my TEAS V entrance exam this August 26. I've been using the ATI online practice exam and also using the ATI textbook to study. I only got 65% on the online practice exam. I've heard that the actual test is a little bit easier. Is it true? If you took the TEAS before, please please please tell me how did you study for it and also which study guide did you use? Thank you so much

I used the ATI study guide and online practice tests and the McGraw Hill practice test book. I got an 80% on both online practice exams and a 92% on the actual test. So, yes, I found the actual test to be easier than the practice tests. I have found this for all ATI tests (if your nursing school utilizes ATI, you will probably end up taking many many ATI proctored exams)

I used the ATI study guide to study. my main focus was on the science section. I watched the mometrix science videos.

I also took the ATI practice test online. I got a 78 the first time and a 93 the second time attempt. On the actual teas I got an 89.3. I've heard many people say that the practice test is a lot harder, I disagree. Yes, I did better on the actual test but it was mostly because I learned from the mistakes I made in the practice test so I was better prepared.

Where can I get the ATI study guide fro the Teas

I studied using the ATI study guide. Study the whole thing and then do the practice exams in the back. They're great for seeing what you need to go over. I scored an 85.3 overall. My math and science scores were in the 90s but my reading and English brought me down. Almost all of my exam questions were covered in the study guide besides a few science questions regarding ecology. The actual exam was easier for me than the practice exams in the back of the book. Good luck!
