I can easily absorb info from English classes and History classes, but when it comes to the Sciences I have a hard time. Simply reading is not enough. Writing down notes is not enough.
All of my classes have been online and I won't lie. I have opened up the book to check my answer a time or two on a test.
How do you prevent brain dump? How do you absorb the material?

I also used Quizlet a lot. Something I started in physiology was to paste a screen shot of a process diagram and paste it into Microsoft Word. I would then use auto-shapes to cover the words on the diagram, and then I would talk through the process and uncover each of the words/notes as I reached each step to see if I was remembering correctly. It helped me not only memorize, but also fully understand the process.
