How did you start your journey through nursing shool

Published

Good morning everyone, I started at bmcc 2010 and I went there with the intentions to get into there nursing program. I was denied because of my 3.72 gpa so I am going to complete all of my prereqs which will take 2 more semesters and then transfer to a 4 year school. My journey has been long and hard but I know I will be happy at the end. Can some people tell me of the schools that I can go to were I wont have to complete all pre req and that I can complete my bsn while in the program. Thanks

i don't fully understand your question??? at any reputable school, you will need pre-requisites. the pre-requisites may be different from school to school but all programs have them. you were denied into nursing school with a 3.72 gpa? is that the only criteria or where their other factors?

as for my journey into nursing school, i fell backwards into nursing after flunking out of college the first time. i took one semester of cna school, with medical terminology, and a basic emt class, applied for lvn school and was accepted before the semester ended. i never even bothered to be certified as a cna as i was already accepted into lvn school. 7 years later, i am almost finished with bsn courses and ready to take my nclex-rn.

good luck on finding a program that you like.
