How to start my own home health agency..

I am a home health nurse and I am thinking of starting my own agency. I don't even know what my first step would be....does anyone out there know? Thanks.............................

I actually approached my Executive Director/Administrator (small local hhc agency) about this, and even with 9 years' experience doing this, she said "I wouldn't start my own agency for all the money in the world." She cites too many headaches with Medicaid/Medicare, etc. She says it's not worth the overwhelming stress that would ensue.

But hey, it's been done before, right? Maybe you're one who could do it.
