How was your 1st Year of Nursing School?

How was your first year of nursing school? Tell us the Good the Bad and the Ugly!!!

Good: Passing pharmacology(which to me was the hardest class ever)

Bad:Having to put in a urinary catheter and not being able to find the urinary meatus. (they look different in real live vs. the mannequin we used:uhoh21: )

Ugly: fainting in the OR during a C-section (how embarassing) I now know what not to specialize in.

Other than year 1 was great. I look forward to year two. Don't get me wrong it was a lot of hard work.

We did 3 ANP classes so that was the hardest thing for me first year. We do Pharm in 2nd year.

I found all the essays monotonous and the NSG theory boooring. Other than that no complaints. :)

I can't wait until 2nd year either !
