Hi guys !! so i've been reading a lot about all the material that you guys are using to pass the nclex and i've been buying most of them LOL , i like to read a lot when i have some free time and i do a lot of practice test from the books and the material you guys suggest on your posts . i haven't started any core nursing classes yet but i noticed that i get 50 % or 40 when i take nclex tests online . i've been a medical assistant for 3 years and most of this questions i know the answers to , also anatomy and micro helps LOL . i have one year until i finish Nursing , should i just hold of on this ? i work full time also but i don't mind doing a couple questions every day :) so far i'm passing all my prerequisites with B lol i'm not a excellent student but i try ❤ also my school won't allow you tontake the testbif they feel like you are not ready because they want to keep their passing rate up ... so we study for 3 months get tested by them and then we get the go ahead to take the test :(

Have you been accepted into the nursing program yet? If not, your free time reviewing NCLEX practice questions would best be served on those prerequisite courses because you'll be going up against some straight-A students for a seat in the actual nursing program.

If you have been accepted into the program already, I'd definitely set aside preparation for the NCLEX until I knew for sure that I'd be graduating nursing school, if I were you. You'll want to concentrate on the nursing courses because it would be a shame to feel NCLEX-ready and fail your only path leading to the NCLEX.

I applaud your motivation. But you will find the nursing courses to be rather challenging and requiring most, if not all, of your attention. At some point in the program, you might find an NCLEX review book very helpful with your courses. Then is when I'd reach for those extra resources. You'll know when the time is right. For now, focus on obtaining the best grades possible with your remaining prereqs. You're going to need those high marks during the selection process for a seat in the program.
