Hi,
I'm currently considering an FNP program, but I would like to shadow. I work nights at my hospital in San Diego. We only have a couple of on-call hospitalists when I am on shift, so I don't have anyone that I know personally who is an NP. How may I go about finding someone to shadow? Truthfully, I'm more interested in primary care than an acute setting, but at this point, I'll take all I can get! Thank you in advance!

Are you a student member of the state NP association? That is a great place to start.
Thanks BostonFNP! Your advice worked and I will shadowing tomorrow!
