How ridiculous about CGFNS

Published

I applied for my registered nursing license through CGFNS last September 30, 2018, but I am still waiting for them to approve my application.

CGFNS keeps saying that the person who signed my application is not in the database. However, this person has been working at the school for over 10 years. A lot of students from my school applied through CGFNS in the past 10 years, and none of them had any problems.

I called CGFNS and they told me they already sent an email to my school in order to verify the signature on July 8, 2019. However, the email they sent was sent to the former president’s email address. That email address has been de-activated for over 10 years.

I told CGFNS about this issue, and they told me because they just sent that email, they need to wait another 30 days to send another email. Once they receive a response from the school, they need to wait another 20 business days to update the file.

I feel really frustrated and angry that it takes them so long to complete this process. I really hope to get this done as soon as possible.

Has anyone had a similar issue to this?

If so, can you please share with me how you handled it? I would like to tell my school how to fix this issue.

Thank you so much

Maggie

Unfortunately CGFNS do not have good communication skills and take a long time to do things.

Specializes in Surgical/Trauma/Neuroscience/Cardiac ICU.

Yes. I did have similar issue. My school contacted CGFNS via phone and spoke to customer service. I believe CGFNS used the email address of the personnel who sign the form to send for clarification. The issue being was a New Staff filling in for that position in school & thus her signature was not on CGFNS database. But it was resolved. It kinda take a while for CGFNS to update the status online.

I hope you will finally sorted it out.
