How to Reactivate Vermont RN license

Hi everyone.

I have an RN license in Vermont which has been inactive for more than 5 yrs. I never practiced nursing in the US but I do have a social security number. I'm an Australian citizen and have been working as an EEN in Australia (counterpart is LPN in the US) for more than 3 yrs. I'm just wondering how I can re-activate my US RN license from Vermont and later convert to an NJ license. I would like so much to experience working in the US since my parents are now based in NJ. Do I have to take any refresher course? I'm willing to do whatever it takes just to re-activate my RN license. Would appreciate any inputs. Thanks in advance! :)
