ADN at age 21. work in ICU after grad while working on BSN. I applied to CRNA school after 1 yr in ICU at age 22 and started CRNA school at 23. This kid is the most intelligent person I've ever met. I guess that's what happens When you stick to your plans early in life.

I'm guessing he/she had a 4.0 GPA, perfect GRE, no family/dependencies, high-acuity ICU experience, and good letters of recommendation, all on top of knowing what they wanted to do from the get-go.

Yup!! The experience was not high acuity though. But he knows theories more than any nurse with 15 yrs bedside experience.

I'm guessing that means book smarts. Knows the answers to questions about receptor activation, etc.
I'm 27 as a first year. Most of us are probably in the 26-30 range, though there are more than a few 30+ and 40+, and a handful of 50+. And, of course, the one token 24-year-old.

Questions are in the title; I'm just wondering what the average age range for students starting their programs is.
