How much weekly pay should I aim for?

Published

Hi everybody! Curious how much I should aim for on my first 13week contract? What do you guys consider a good weekly pay? Im thinking 1500 net a week plus housing paid for is a good deal. Are you guys getting that or more? I am an ICU nurse with 9+ years experience. Thanks

Thanks for clarifying the facts Ned! Anyhow, now that this thread has been necrod id love to hear peoples covid crisis salary info. Are you travelers knocking the contracts outa the park? I've heard of the legendary 10k weekly contracts but have only been personally offered a 4500 weekly contract and thats not enuff to motivate me out of my current station.

You must currently be in a fantastic position, then. I’m doing a $5400/week covid assignment at the moment. That’s with housing stipend added on and I take free housing provided by the AACN.

Nice ICU man! I'm working for the va so my short term pay isn't that great but I'm making the long play. I'm looking to do 2 more years that will give me 10yrs in the system an able to draw some small pension when I turn 57. Id like to shed that ball n chain in a couple yrs though. That will give me the freedom to take contracts to the highest bidder when evr I feel like working. If I was working staff anywhere else I would of loved to bounce and take one of these beefy contracts.
