I am currently working in NYC, but will be moving to NJ. I am in the process of reciprocating my license to the State of NJ.
Does anyone know what the typical per visit rate or salary for Home Care Nurses in New Jersey? To be specific- Northern NJ?

Hi Starbin,
Do you have a BSN or and Associates Degree? I was wondering if Valley Hospital is hiring those with Associates Degree.

My organization offers more than Essex County VNA and we are in Northern NJ. We also offer a company car!
I cannot solicit my company, but we are a VNA.

Can someone tell me how home care nurses are paid? is it hourly? or by how many pt's they assess each day? I have an interview with a home care agency next week and I'm not sure what to say if they ask me what I expect for a salary.

Home care nurses are generally paid per visit for intermittent visits, hourly for shift work, or salaried for the office nurses or perhaps the case managers, nursing supervisors.
thank you for responding caliotter =)
has anyone heard of Preferred Healthmates Inc ?
