I only have to work 3 days a week, that's 36 hours.. (can work more if I want)

Full time with benefits, insurance, retirement, PTO...

$43/hr

If I work 3 days a week, that's a little over $80,000/yr

If I work 4 days a week, that's around $110,000/yr

Wow! in Texas, that sounds like Bay Area (CA) wages

Specializes in Oncology, Palliative Care, Hospice.

1. RN

2. ADN

3. Proud December 2008 Graduate

4. Home Hospice Case Manager

5. Greater Los Angeles Area

As a home hospice nurse we are paid by the visit, not hourly.

A regular RN visit usually takes between 40 minutes and an hour, and is $50.00. We're also paid $20/hour for time spent in the office doing chart summaries etc...and there is a premium for evaluations and admissions.

Each patient is seen twice a week (on average) and we carry anywhere from 3-20 patients depending on the number of hours you want to work. Most of the gals who have light case loads are moms and are able to schedule all their visits while the kids are in school.

By the time you factor in team meetings, office hours and mileage I usually earn about $1300 a week and work a total of 28 hours (give or take).
