I've been looking to move away from bedside. Like many nurses, I'm feeling burned out and would like to have more of a regular schedule so I can be at my kids activities. That being said, I've been looking at work from home positions, or something that is a bit more flexible.
I'm finding that many of the positions posted want someone with experience with ICD-10, CDI, case management, ect. How on earth is someone to gain experience with those things if no one will hire them?
I have been a bit selective when it comes to salary, and I can adjust that, but no way do I feel I should have to go back to making $25.
What do I need to do in order to make myself more desirable? Do I need to get certified? I am currently in school for my BSN, and hope that will make a difference when I am finished.
Thanks for any insight.
