How many NP programs are there in the US?

Published

Does anyone know how many NP programs are there in the US? I know for CRNA its around 95.

Go to www.allnursingschools.com. You can look up lists of schools across the county by program, ie BSN, ANP, NP, etc. There are short descriptions of each program and a link to the school's website. It comes in very handy when trying to decide what programs to apply to.

Looks like there are a lot of NP programs in the US.....

Is there a surplus of NPs? How easy is it for new grads to find jobs?

Thanks

No, not a surplus, nev.

Jobs are to be had and too few NPs for them. Now, I have no idea what is like in large cities. But, in the rural areas, they are begging for providers and NPs are filling those slots.

In the beginning, the NP programs were started in order to fill those rural areas. Still is a need. Probably always will be.
