How many hours a week do surgical nurse practitioners work on average?

Approximately how many hours a week do surgical nurse practitioners work?

We use PA's where I am, and they probably average 60 hours per week. I was just talking to a NP the other day who keeps a similar schedule plus takes call for 3 weeks out of the month, which actually means 80+ hours a week.

The real question is how many of them are salaried

Lol. My guess is almost all, which definitely dampens the appeal!

Well the ones I work with are salaried, but they don't do weekends or take call

I don't know about overtime off the top of my head, but I doubt they're working 60 hours a week

I work 40 hours, 4 10 hour shifts. I don't have to take call but I do moonlight at another hospital for fun money..
