How many hours do you study for?

Hello!

I am trying to prepare some type of outline/schedule for myself for my first quarter in nursing school! I would like to get a rough idea on how many hours, on average, will I need to study per day. Also, do you study every day or only during the week? If not, can you include when you typically study?I know everyone is different, but I would love to get some feedback on this! Thank you!

I had a pretty hectic schedule, as I was in an accelerated BSN program, so I didn't have much time to study during the week, except if it was a day when I didn't have class/clinicals. I did the majority of my studying on the weekends. Like some other posters said, study smart. It's not about how long you study, because if you study too long, you would likely forget the information you started your study session with. I would study 30 min on, 10-15 min off, versus studying for 10+ hours straight. I found that when I studied this way, I retained a LOT of information, I guess because it allows for frequent "brain breaks".
