How many 12 hour shifts per week

I work 12 hour shifts and am able to work as much as I like. I am grateful for this because I have some debt I want to pay down. I do not want to get burnt out. How many shifts per week is too many? I am thinking between 4-5. Just wondering how many shifts per week you can work without over doing it? What works for you?

Another 12 gets a majority eaten on taxes and you are EXHAUSTED
That's a good point. One time I worked 5 12s in a week. I got so much taken in taxes, it wasn't worth the exhaustion. I'll never do that again unless I'm threatened with being fired if I don't.

Good point. I had this happen while working as a CNA once. I was picking up a LOT of extra shifts during the summer while in college; one pay period I worked 130 hours--14 days in a row with 4 or 5 of those being double shifts. Another pay period I worked 110 hours. I took home more with the 110 hour pay period. :banghead:
