How many books for your program?

Published

Luckily our school provides us the books as part of our tuition. I haven't picked them up yet, but reading through the syllibi, it looks like we have 18 books and a medical dictionary for our LPN program. How many books will you have?

The amount of books vary from teacher to teacher.

Over 2 years content, I had about 12 books total.

I would suggest you don't buy ANY books until you know your teacher will be using them frequently. Also, buy books online because this can save you LOADS of money.

Our books were covered in tuition also. We have about 18 books total, including drug guides, medical terminology, lab test references, and clinical diagnoses.

We have about 12, for a one year program. Most of them are dictionaries, drug guides and things of that sort though.

For the first semester we have 6, not sure for second semester yet.

My program calls for 9 different books, not covered by tuition but i got all of them online from various sites and i save a lot of money!!

According to the syllabus, we have 13 books. Not sure if there will be more to come next semester.

I have about 20, including the dictionary, drug guide, and study guides.

i was required to purchase 8 and there are others that are supplied by the program. I'll find out week after next what the total is!

I have five books for my first semester, which are not covered in my tuition and I was advised to purchase care plan books and a medical dictionary. I purchased those from Amazon for a cheap price. They also advised that we will need our Pharmacology book for Med/Surg. I have no clue about the rest of the year.

Correction to my earlier post. I picked up my books today - all 16 of them, and #17, the Saunders NCLEX prep, is on its way...!
