How to make yourself more marketable after taking a break?

Hi y'all,

So I've been on an 18 month hiatus from nursing. I lost my job, moved back home to help out my family and take care of my sister, and a lot of other stuff that's gotten in the way of me getting back into nursing.

How do I make myself more hirable after not being a nurse for 18 months?

I'm up to date on my BLS and ACLS, I've been practicing my skills, I've reviewed how to do Head to toe assessments, I'm NIH stroke scale certified, etc.

I've thought about taking a nurse refresher course but in my area they cost between $1,000 to $3,000 which I flat-out don't have.
