I recently found out a wealth of information about LTAC's from this site (:heartbeat). I had never known what they were but after learning about them I've decided that I would like to (hopefully) start out in one. I dont graduate until June, but I'd like to start applying maybe in March or April.
It seems like an LTAC can give me the experience I need to be marketable just about anywhere as well as make me competent in dealing with complex patients.
Specializes in Critical Care; Cardiac; Professional Development.
Not any moreso than the hospitals at this time I am afraid, at least from my experience. I am a brand new GN and did my clinicals at a local LTAC. They were not interested in hiring any new grads despite giving glowing reports and having a strong, high opinion of us.

So, do LTAC's hire new grads in TX?
