How long to have wait ATT from NY State

I am newbie here. I graduated with the diploma in nursing from aboard. I applied for CVS for NY state through CGFNS last year and the end of june I got email from CGFNS said I passed my credential, what I need to do is waiting for information from NY state around 4-6 weeks. Now almost 3months since I passed my credential. I called NYS edu to ask about my application, but every time I called they said that i have to call them again 2 weeks later. I did it. In the morning I called the information lady who told me to call back in the afternoon to talk to supervisor (she gave me the name of SV). In the afternoon I called the information, a man told me that Supervisor who i want to talk to, is not responsible for nurse and I have to wait and call them again 2 weeks later without any explanation.Please can anybody give me advice what I have to do, cuz I need RN licence for continuing my nursing to BSN.

Did you register in pearson vue already? They won't mail you the att unless you're registered. After you register, let them know. I communicated with them all through email and my process went very smoothly.

Generally NY meets once a month, depending on how many applications they have, and review International applications. Usually process takes 6-8 months from starting CVS to getting response on whether OK to sit NCLEX. I would ring again and let them know it has been 3 months since application was submitted and you need to talk to someone who deals with Nurse applications

Hi Ipark000.

I did it today, after reading your comment .I talked to pearson Vue CS, she said that I have to register first, but in NYS edu website in RN requirements Saying that for non-US nursing program graduates only can register to Pearson Vue after getting letter from NYS Edu, that is why I didn't register yet

I thought so too but you can register ahead otherwise NYS is just waiting and you're just waiting. So you got your att already?

What happened in mine was that I emailed nys asking if I was eligible already, then they said yes. then i registered in pearson vue. Waited a few weeks for my att to come but nothing. Emailed nys saying I registered and got my att 10 minutes after.

Not yet, Pearson Vue CS said it take 4-6 weeks,so I have to wait. Did you already pass your exam.I need RN license to continue my study, I graduated nursing diploma in 2000,what about you?

Ok so let nys know that cgfns sent them your transcripts already and that you registered for pearson vue. Yes I passed my test earlier this year, graduated last year
