2022 - How long does it take WA BON to post/issue RN license?

U.S.A. Washington

Hello all! I sat the NCLEX last July 27th & passed upon checking Pearson vue quick results. It's been a week already but my status on the Washington provider credential search is still "pending". How long did it take until your license was active? Thank you!

I can speak to licensure by endorsement. I applied for WA state licensure on August 23 and submitted all my documents by August 30 (I was visiting WA during that timeframe and had my fingerprints done in Olympia at that time). While I checked the DOH website daily, it just read ‘Pending’.  I received a mailed hard copy of my Temporary Permit today, Sept 16. Now I am just waiting for my Federal Background to clear, but the whole process to get my Permit was just under 3 weeks. Good luck!

I just moved here and applied by test. I am a new grad. I had all of my background check and fingerprints sent in and my transcripts were released and was authorized to test. I tested on Thursday and my license was activated by Saturday evening when I searched my credentials on the DOH provider credential search.

Can I ask- how long did it take to get your ATT after applying & how long before you were able to sit to take the NCLEX? Not sure how much time to allocate for either. Thank you!
