How long does it take you to get all clinical paperwork done

How many hours. Just wondering. Also tell me what semester are you in. Thanks

Depends on the class and also depends on the patient. If you have a patient on a ton of meds with a lot of problems, it is going to take you longer to complete your prep work. I think the most I spent on my prep was 5 hours.

Are you referring to the prep paperwork or the care plan after seeing the patient? For the care plan portion, first and second semester it took me 5 hours or so. Third semester it took me two to three hours. Entering my last semester in a couple of weeks and from what I understand we have to turn everything in prior to leaving for the day.

Prepwork can take anywhere from one to six or seven hours depending on the client's diagnoses, labs, diagnostic testing, medications, etc. This includes the time it takes to record all the data from the hospital to take home and work on.

It depended on how manny pt care plans I had to write and whether the care plan was short or long. After obtaining the pt info, I never fininished in less than 6 hrs. Usually, I turn off the computer sometime after midnight and caught a short catnap before the pre clinical at 5:45. When I was assigned to a hospital more than an hour's drive, I would sleep in my minivan in the parking lot--that way I saved a minimum of 2 hrs (round trip to and from my house). Our parking lot was fairly safe as it was a secure, locked lot (locked at 11 pm and opened again at 5 am).
