How long does it take to get the actual RN license in NJ?

U.S.A. New Jersey

Hi,

I am just wondering how long it takes to take the actual RN license in NJ? I am scheduled to take the RN exam in July. I know that we know the results the next day or so. But how long does it take for the NJ BON to send you the license?? I actutally need it before I start working/orientation... Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

tamme

I took the NCLEX on 10/18 and passed. It is 12/28 and I still don't have a license or license number. Every time I call the NJBON I get another excuse. Frustrated in NJ.

2 years for associates. 4 years for bachelors. Their both degrees for an RN but bachelors is always a winner when it comes to applying for jobs.

To get a RN NJ license by endorsement it can take 6 months or longer. If it is longer than 6 months you will need to get re-fingerprinted for $22.
