How long?

How long did it took for the BON to contact you after a complaint from your employer?

Depends on the state and the offense. In California I received a letter within 3-4 months offering alternative to discipline (Diversion program)

If I said no they would refer to me to the BON and there discipline program called (probation) to get into probation it can take up to 3 years. Backed up on case loads.

One month. It was either surrender my license or appear before the board. My state doesn't have an alternative program.

while you are waiting, you might consider getting into treatment or attending AA/NA (and getting a signatures). It will not only look good, it can also help you begin the road to a better life.

Good luck.

I Self reported to my assistance program before the state contacted me but it was about 3 months after the investigation. However because I beat the state to the punch by Self reporting , their contact consisted of a letter dismissing the matter as long as I remained in compliance in the future .

Exact same for me. But I believe in my state you have to request to be in the program, otherwise you go straight to disciplinary monitoring. .which is basically the same thing as being in the program, except it's not confidential and you get the discipline on your licrnse. Always better to self report if you have the option of an alternative to discipline program.

Must have been nice. I self reported and by the time the board got to me I had already gotten suckered into an unesessary stint in rehab as well as having gotten suckered into signing a contract. They offered me a "settlement agreement" that told me to report to IPN. As I had long since done that, I tried to tell them that my first contact with IPN was 2 years ago and voluntary. They ignored me and suspended my license anyway. I got the book thrown at me over a one time stupid act that involved me being taken off my psych meds.
