How long and how could i re-take the test?

SORRY!! about the test. Hopefully next time things will work out better. As far as your question though I dont know the answer. I have read about differnet states being anywhere from 30-90 days but I dont know specifically about New York. You may be able to check on your bon website.

Just had the result and knew that i failed, i could not believe it and feel so terrible.After cry aloud for a while, i know i can do noting but review carefully again and re-take it. so any suggestion will be useful and appreciated!
And i also have a question that how can i reschedule the test? i'm applying for the licence of NY state.

In NY you can retake the exam 45 days from your last one. You apply to take it the same as you did the first: to the SBON, with fee and wait for ATT.

I have the Kaplan CD, which has 7 tests. I took all at 65' average and at the test, it's only 80/90min. I though i must answer awful! I decide to take the Kaplan Qbank, and review the Kaplan review book again. Any other suggest?

The BON isn't going to contact you again; it's up to you to reapply for a test date. You should have gotten a notice in the mail (would be the fail notice, actually) that gave you a date after which you could retest, do you remember seeing that? You can follow instructions from there :)

You took all 7 Trainer tests from Kaplan and got 65% on each? That's surprising to see you fail, frankly. That's a good score on a Question Trainer.

Or do you mean an overall average of 65...? What do you mean by 80/90 minutes...was that the time you used for testing? That shouldn't be your concern right now, if it is.

I hope I don't seem out of line, but your writing suggests to me that English may not be your first language. If that's the case, do you feel you understood the questions completely, or perhaps language is giving you some trouble? I mean no disrespect; perhaps English is your first language and typing isn't your strong point I'm just looking for ways you can improve for next time.

I always recommend Kaplan because if you are doing well in that, it means you already are comfortable with content and are ready for higher critical-thinking questions. Saunders is a very good content review, but too simplified if you need help with critical-thinking questions.

English is not my first language, that's really a trouble to me in the test. 80/90min means i only had 80 questions in 90 min and i also got some priority questions, that's why i thought maybe i can pass but i didn't. I thought i must do a really bad work.

Ok, I gotcha! My first suggestion, honestly? 80 questions in 90 minutes, when English is NOT your first language (and appears to give you some trouble) tells me you were blowing through that test WAY THE HECK too fast! I'd really suggest allowing more time to read each question more carefully, to be sure you read the entire question properly. Then, too, a little more time to read each answer; do not jump to pick a correct one without having read all the choices first. Sometimes, once you read all the answers, you'll realize the question isn't what you thought it was at first.

I went at a slightly slower pace than you and English is my first language :) I often had to read and re-read to be sure.

If your Kaplan tests were all in the 60's or so, then English may not be the problem for the NCLEX, BUT you have to SLOW DOWN to make sure you've read everything right. That's my suggestion anyway :)

you are more than welcome :) please come back and look through threads on this board--many people fail the first time and go on to pass the next. there's lots of great support here from alot of people who passed this thing! :)
