As I remember the Oregon Board of Nursing says to allow 6 weeks for a license. I applied for a license by endorsement in November and got my "online" license (no hard copies are mailed) the first of January. The holidays may have slowed it down a bit, but my original state was the main culprit taking way too long to confirm my existing RN license. I had even sent them a prepaid, pre-addressed envelope to mail the one page confirmation in. Glad you got yours, but this may help someone else planning to do the same !
Started the application in March, had to re do the fingerprints because they use ink instead of the more common computer scan, now over a month later and am still waiting, all the boxes state completed. I was warned to be patient that Oregon takes awhile. I'm in no rush, haven't even listed our house yet. I am surprised at the slow pace but I was prepared for it!
Hi,
I applied for my license via endorsement on 05SEP2023. I submitted all paperwork including fingerprints by 09SEP2023 and had my license endorsed on 20SEP2023. Hope this helps! I think it depends if you apply during the slow or busy times. Fall and Spring graduation months being the busiest.

Hi! I currently have a Texas RN license, but I'm moving to Oregon and need my license ASAP!! I'm getting fingerprinted next week, and everything else is being mailed in before then... does anyone know how long it takes to issue a license once the Oregon BON has all the documents?? I could REALLY REALLY use some help to kind of have a time frame! Thanks!!!
