How long after expiration to renew PALS?

My PALS certification expired in Feb 2013. Do you know how much more time I have to renew rather than taking the class over from scratch? I tried to find this information online but I guess my googling skills are not up to par...

I thought that if you didn't renew before expiration, you had to take the full class.

Yeah, that's what it looks like.

I thought I'd wait to get a job and let my employer pay for it... But since I'm only working part time at this point, my employer does not want to cover the cost.
