How long does drug screening continue after probation?

Nurses Recovery

Hello all. I am a nurse in Arkansas. I Was an idiot and tested positive for marijuana on a urine drug screen. I have been on probation for the last year and check in every day to see if I have been selected for drug testing. I was ordered to do this for a year and that year is almost up. I called my cm to see when I would be able to stop checking in and was told to continue to do this daily until I was notified by the board to stop. I'm just curious if anyone could possibly tell me how long after the end of my probation can I expect to have to check in for drug screening? I have been negative for every screen so I don't anticipate anything standing in my way of getting off of probation at the end of the year. Thank you in advance

No advice but good for you for following through and doing what you needed to be able to keep your license. I'm sure i'll be holding my breath for my entire career, but it will be a good day when marijuana is dropped from routine drug screening panels for employees.

Glad you stuck it out--now learn from your mistake and don't get caught doing that again. I know it's not fair, but until legal weed is the law of the whole land, wise nurses will just have to abstain. I know some who don't and am continually amazed at their luck.

I don't plan on doing it again. I would just like to be able to go on vacation. It is very difficult to go on vacation with your kids when you may have to drop everything and go test. Thanks

I have heard its usually within 2-3 weeks of the end date
