How Long Does It Take To Receive Child Abuse Clearnce and Criminal Record?

I am trying to figure out when I need to take the exam and apply for school and fitting in my job...it's overwhelming.

Any way, I live in PA, how long would it take to get my child abuse clearance in mail? Also, for crminal record, I saw on the police website that for a credit card purchase I can receive a no crminal record clearance online and just print, do you think that'd be okay?

Your school doesn't do a background check on your behalf, they actually make you do the leg work and provide copies of all of these things individually? That's unbelievable! :uhoh3:

Actually, that's the least problem I have with the school. The biggest thing I have is the fact that I'm only allowed to take the NET there three times, after that I'm not allowed to take it again! I have to get a minimum of 60 on math and 70, that's right, 70 on reading comprehension. I got a 95 on math and a 63 on reading so I gotta do this lovely thing all over again.

Mine both came pretty quickly, I think within a few weeks.

Remember, it also depends on when you fill out the paperwork for it - the quicker you do it, the better. If you wait more toward the deadline for it, it takes longer b/c everyone is trying to get their paperwork in and the state has more to do.

Asherah: This is common for a PA school to have you do your own checks.

We have to do our own background check as well. I got fingerprinted at my local sherif's office and then sent the fingerprint card into the FBI with $18. They sent back my fingerprint card with a stamp on the back that says no arrest record.....it took about 3 weeks.
