I'm in NC, however I submitted my criminal background check etc months ago, and it can take up to six weeks to process that, and up to 14 days to process your school verification from the time your dean sent it off. I talked to the guy (Scott) at the BON and he said it would most likely take 14 business days which is three weeks! I'm impatient too!

Annointed_RNStudent,
Thanks for the reply. Did he mean it would take 14 days for the background check to come back? I called today, and did not get very far at all, perhaps a rush of inpatient students have phoned him, hahaha!
Good luck!!! Let me know how it goes!!!

no it could take up to six weeks for background check, and three weeks for school verfication, that is UP TO, I'm hoping it will be shorter, I need to go to work!

Hello everyone,
I hope this post finds everyone in great spirits. I recently graduated nursing school, YIPPIE!
Today, I completed the application for licensure through the NCBON. I also completed the registration with Pearson Vue to take the NCLEX. I will be getting the hardcopy (fingerprints, CBC money order, etc.. ) off to the BON tomorrow morning. I was wondering if anyone had an idea how long it would take everything to process and for me to be give an ATT. I was told six weeks by the BON, but I have heard others say not that long.
Thanks,
I have also posted this in the NC forum.
