I don't understand myself anymore. In high school, I would have never settled for a C or anything below a B+ even, but somehow during these semesters, it unfortunately got to the point where I was glad I got a C cause atleast I passed. Mind that I did have personal problems at the point where I started to show lack of good academics during the 2006 courses. That D+ is the first D I've ever had in my life.. It's kind of a reality slap to me.. I've had a lot of conflicts during the semester, just like anyone else, finding your real friends, finding the right motivation and influence. I just let myself go, and I can't do that.. Next semester has a very different change, I am taking 17 hours for the Spring 2007 semester.
Anatomy and Physiology I
Anatomy and Physiology Lab
Microbiology
Microbiology Lab
Intro to Philosophy
Foundations of Chemistry (again...)
Human Development and Family Studies
I hope I'm doing the right thing, I want to get myself back on track and completely focus all my time in school. I know that wanting and actually doing it are very different things, but I know I can do it. I had the discipline from elementary school to my graduation of high school, so I know I can. I'm hoping to apply during the spring for the fall ADN program that I hope to get in.
I have an SAT score of 960.. so I doubt that would increase my chances of getting into the program, so I have to take the ACT which will be in February.. So much on my plate..
How do ya'll think I'm doing..?
I would also like to note I did not put all my grades, GPA, etc., to show off, I wanted to post for honest opinions. Please let me know, thank you -
**Edit: Also, I'm sorry I didn't put it in my first post, but the University of Houston does not offer a nursing program. Instead I am trying to get into an RN program at my community college, which has a admission criteria of a good SAT or ACT score, and with the pre-reqs of A&P I and II, Microbiology, College Algebra, and English Comp I & II. The other classes I'm taking like HDFS and Philosophy are pre-reqs for the BSN program of UT of Houston..
