How I passed my NCLEX 5th time( foreign student)

I would like to share my story about NCLEX to give encouragement to all foreign students who have hard time with passing NCLEX.

I applied for licence in NYS and it took me about 6 month with CGFNS and then a year for NYS to approve my credentials. So after waiting almost 2 years for a letter of approval I was finally able to take the test.

I will not talk about 4 times that I failed NCLEX ( it would take too much time) , but after failing 4 times I knew I had to change something , the way I was doing only questions and rationales wasn't enough. So I decided to read books and refresh my memory and go over everything again. I read ATI book and Hust. I was reading one subject in one book first then the same subject in the other book and making notes. When I finished them both , I did questions ( I did RN mastery, used app anywhere I could ). I did not buy UWORLD, bc I used Uworld before , spend a lot of money on it. I didn't want to spend more , so instead I bought RN mastery. But I had a lot of notes from Uworld. The last 4 times I went I was sooo nervous, every time I parked my car I was so scared. So this time I was very calm, very relax. Like I was going to friends house. Did not worry at all and honestly I believe it helped me a lot. Just being calm and not panicking. I had 86 questions in total. I had 17 SATA ( yes, I counted them , every time I had one I put a line on a paper). No cardio, no math, 1 drag and pull, 2 OBGYN, 2-3 ped and neonate. I did not look at number of questions that I was on or my timing. did not look at right corner at all. When computer shut off, I was shocked, I got so scared. I went home and did not do the " trick ". I was just scared. The next day I checked the NYS BON website to see if my name is there and it was not. ( couple weeks ago my friend went thru FL BON, she passed and they had her name the next day) so I thought NY would be the same. I check for my name in the evening again and it was not there. The next day ( 48 hours later), I'm checking the website , my name is not there and that is it. I though I definitely failed again. What am I going to do and say to my family? I felt horrible to tell my kids that mommy did not pass her test. Later afternoon I saw my quick results were ready but I was so scared to check them. I thought I will do the trick and see what happens . I did itand got a good pop up. I could not believe it and did it 3 times and got the same good pop up. I ran to grab my credit card to check my quick results( my hand are sweti g and shaking, I can't even type my credit number). It took me 5 times too to type my cc number and the page opens and there were 4 letters - Pass.

i was shooed , couldn't believe it. I started crying, a lot of tears of happiness. My kids ran to me and gave me kisses and hugs and told me how pround they are of they mommy. It was the best feeling ever.. knowing that I did it, I did not give up , I went all the way to the end . It's a great feeling.

Please don't give up if it's hard for you , it's a hard work now and a great feeling of happiness when you done. It feels so weird knowing that I don't have to run home to read book or not look at questions .

please don't give up, it's all worth it at the end. You can do it, work harder and know what you doing.

Also I prayed a lot. Everyday I prayed .
