How I Passed NCLEX 2ND attempt.

Nursing Students NCLEX

Just want you to know that recently I passed NCLEX after 2nd try. NEVER give up.

I used Saunders, Kaplan and LaCharity books. They all helped me alot. But what helped me the most was prayer. When I was checking in for the exam, I got really nervous, my chest was pounding vigorously, so I talked myself to relax buy doing some deep-breathing exercises, and mental prayer.

I had a nutritious breakfast the day of the exam and got my appointment scheduled at 8:00 am. After 75 questions the computer stopped, and I knew I passed because I applied all the techniques I learned on the books. Don't delegate what you can EAT. A is before B and B before C. I had lots, and lots of SATA questions, I took my time and answered as if i was doing true/false questions. Try to do questions from different sources so you get used to different styles. Also I google anything I had doubts about it. Procedures: pay attention to step-by-step processes.

MEDICATIONS: The new 2013 NCLEX exam contains lots of generic name only questions. So, practice questions by categories. I know some of you don't have much time to study before the exam, but I promised myself that I would only do the test 2 times. Knowing this, I used my time to learn meds by categories. I wasn't strong on meds on my first NCLEX, this time I prioritized this content. Make sure you complete an NCLEX study guide of any kind. Doing the exam without it is setting yourself to fail. Do use a study plan that works for you. I created a weekly calendar to keep track of my goals. Also, I did printed a one-page 265 blank answers and practiced exams on the web from reputable sources.

I wish you all the best. Stay focus. Understand that you have to give up time used for other activities, but this is temporary.

Sincerely, CatrachaRn.

Congrats RN! It's all worth it. Glory to God. :)

As a nursing student I used to read posts from Allnurses often. After passing NCLEX I knew I needed to write something that would help the readers studying towards the exam.

Thanks, all.

Thanks Nurse_. Wish you the best in ICU I did my Capstone in SICU.
