How do I contact someone at the NICU at Dell Childrens?

Published

3 weeks ago i had my last day of pediatric clinical at the NICU at Dell Childrens in Austin. an amazing wonderful nurse there went out of her way for 6 hours to introduce me to the wonderful world of NICU nursing. at the end of my time I had to run quickly & there was no time to get her contact info so that I could thank her for everything. she even was sweet enough to agree to write a letter for my applications but again I had to leave so quickly there wasnt time to get a number. i can find the number for the NICU at their website but i know with all the privacy laws, would they even be able to confirm that she works there? would i be interrupting her day at work? it's a ICU with all kinds of important things going on 24/7.

I know her first & last name but I don't know how to spell her last name. I just want to thank her & the NICU for having a student come into their unit, it meant so much to me and showed me what my career will be. i want to thank her & all the nurses there so much.

I don't know if anyone here works at the NICU at Dell and would like to perhaps privately message me or something, any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. everyone in the NICUs all over are doing such a good job!

I'm sure your instructor would have contact information for the unit

I work for the Seton Network, and float to Dell periodically. If you PM me with your info and her name I can pass on the info to her, but I wouldn't feel comfortable giving out info on anyone....hope you understand, this is the internet!

I'm glad you had a good experience there, it is a great unit.

i don't mean it that way, i don't want personal info of anyone's to be put out here..if you've noticed my name is pretty generic. do you float to the NICU? i can PM you..

Call the main hospital switchboard and ask to be transferred to the NICU. Then ask for the nurse by name. If she's there, you'll get to talk to her, or at least find out when she is working again.
