Dear Nurse Beth,
I have been applying to CNA positions. In the case that I do not know who the nurse manager/hiring manager is how should I address the cover letter?
Dear How to Address Cover Letter,
Good question, and it's important to find out. Avoid using To whom it may concernâ€. And good for you for writing a cover letter!
How do you find out the nurse manager's name? Try these tips:
Call the hospital, ask for the floor (example, 5N). When the unit secretary answers, ask for the nurse manager's name. Hello, my name is Angelina Estrada and I am trying to contact the nurse manager. Can you please tell me the manager's name?â€
You can also call Nursing administration and Human Resources in the same manner.
Or you can call the hospital after business hours and ask the hospital operator to transfer you to the nurse manager's extension on 5N. You will hear the name on the voicemail message.
Good luck, and here are some related reads:

I deal with many government personnel from data entry to prosecutors. Etiquette when addressing a professional (business) letter to an unknown person is:
Dear sir or madam,
Here is the body of my letter….
