How does the Hesi compare to the NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello all! This is my first post. I graduated 12-14 and due to a snafu I am still awaiting my ATT. I made a 997 on the Hesi which I thought was a decent grade. And I have read here that if you do okay on the Hesi you should do okay on the NCLEX. Even my instructor said I had a 95% chance of passing the boards because of the Hesi grade. Then, today I talked to a classmate who took the boards last week and she said the Hesi was nowhere near as hard as the boards. She was the smartest student in class and she said it was the hardest test she had ever taken in her life. I am really shot down now. She suggested to stop studying Saunders and start studying diseases and s/s. I have such a fear of testing I just don't know what to do. I am going to faint and fall out, keel over dead for sure on the day of my NCLEX.

How would you compare the Hesi and NCLEX?

Thanks so much for your help

I had to take HESI as part of my school. I did the class at school and then passed the HESI test with flying colors...............then went on to fail the NCLEX with 265 questions. I believe the HESI is much easier than NCLEX.
