How hard will this be?

Hello all!

I am going to take a CNA course at my local community college this January. The course takes 8 weeks, which I guess is the norm, 4 nights and 1 day a week. I will also be enrolled in Psychology and Sociology at the same time. How hard will this be? I am also a SAHM of 3 small children. My two pre-reqs are online so I don't have to be on campus.

Thanks for your input!

If it's your first time back to school in a while, it will take some adjusting, but your schedule sounds doable. Just plan on one of your kids getting sick before each test, LOL. Every single test I had in A&P I spent the evening/night before at the doc's or ER. And much of my studying was done with a little one who was vomiting or had an earache or was running a fever laying on my lap. But, I graduate next May, so it's definitely workable.

The CNA class is very easy and it's nice you won't have to go to campus for your other classes.

Good luck in your studies!

I'm on a similar boat as you! I am a former SAHM also a single mommy to two (a 7 year old and a 3 year old) and I am a pre-adn student. Next semester I have 1 3 hour lecture, 1 3 hour lab and 1 8 hour clinical a week for CNA. I also have A&P II -2 lectures and a lab a week as well as a communications class once 4 hours a week and a sociology class online. I honestly think my load sounds worst than it really is. This past semester I had A&P II and Micro and Political Science which sounded completely overwhelming at first but ended up being not so terrible. The hardest part honestly is missing the babies....:o but thinking about what I am giving them when it's all done makes it easier.

We can do it!
