I heard its alot of science. I dont have any chem backround.[/quotThere was a fair amount of chemistry on the test I took last week, so that could be a problem. I think that there are a couple of versions of the exam and so I am not sure about the mix of questions. But, FYI - here was what I had on my test: Out of 48 questions: Human Body Science (11- A&P); Life Science (15- Plant/Human Bio ); Earth/Physical Science (14- Chemistry, physics, earth/space); Scientific Reasoning (8 - experiments, data interpretation, etc. )
However, if you are strong in the other science areas, then you might still be okay depending on what type of score you need. Could you get someone to give you a crash course in the basics? Also, there is some chemistry review info in the TEAS V book; so you could try to teach yourself.
I hope this helps a bit. Good luck!
my advice would to read and re-read the questions they are asking and as for the science portion it's all over the place, but as long as you read the sections in the ATI book you will be fine. Also, brightstorm.com and khanacademy.com are great tools to help understand the science, math and english sections.
A co-worker let me borrow her study guide from ATI. Everything that was on my test was in that book. However, I've never been a fan of math, and the science was kind of complicated, so once I went over the book I found other sources that broke the information down better, lol, I was a frequent at Dummies.com! but it helped!
