It's only my second quarter but with anatomy & physiology 1 its a lot of material we have to learn really fast. Im feeling very scared I do have a 3.9 gpa but im scared it will drop in this class. On the tests I havent done so well at all infact iv done terrible. I previously got my cna certificate and I love doing it. How hard is it to get into the program, should I just change my major to something else? Should I drop it and take function and struturce of the human body iv heard its like a pre anatomy. Im really torn and frustrated.

Don't give up. A&P was really hard for me, ad I had to take it again with a different professor. Although still difficult I was able to do it. While taking it for the second time I found out that I have gotten into both my first and second choice schools for this Fall. I say this to say, not to stress so much. I have a 3.8 and while it's good, its certainly still not a 4.0, and I still got into where I wanted to. Now my decision is where do I want to attend rather than I what will I do if I don't get in. If Nursing is what you want to do then keep at it, and Good Luck!!

How hard it is to get into a program depends on a lot of factors.. the biggest one IMO is whether or not the school has ROOM for you. The school I wanted to go to originally doesn't do a waiting list. At their most recent mandatory orientation (just to APPLY for the program), there were over 650 people.. for 24 spots opening in the next class.
Good luck.. anatomy is sooo much to learn no matter where you go to school.. but you gotta have it. Ask your counselor at school about the function class as soon as possible if you're struggling.. you might not be able to take it since you're already in anatomy. I dunno, every school is different. Good luck.

The smart people figure out that they might need a little help with those science classes and will take the pre-A&P class or take their A&P classes over. Some of us need to "ramp up" a little more methodically to understand the material. You're right, it is a lot of information in a short period of time and if you don't understand the biology or chemistry basics, it's easy to get behind and totally lost.
