How do you hang tape on a stethoscope?

So I know this is a dumb question, but I live and breathe by my tape and am forever fumbling to get it out of the pockets. I see so many of my colleagues with rolls hanging off their stethoscopes, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it! I would ask them, but I don't want to look so pathetic. :icon_roll Thanks for your help!

I too wear cargo pants, but i wear my stethescope around my neck, and i remove the diaphragm, slide on a roll of tape, put it back on, and off i go. After my first round, i ususally put my stethescope with the tape in my pocket. I fold a little corner on the tape, so it will be easy to unroll, and so the outer layer gets thrown away anyway.
